ThinkSystem SR590 Rack Server
Lenovo ThinkSystem SR590 is a 2-socket 2U rack server for small businesses up to large enterprises that need industry-leading reliability, management, and security, as well as balancing performance and expandability. The SR590 server is designed to handle a wide range of workloads, such as virtualization and cloud computing, IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, collaboration/email, and web serving.
Featuring the second generation of the Intel Xeon Processor Scalable Family (Xeon SP Gen 2), the SR590 server offers balanced performance, storage capacity, and I/O expansion. The SR590 server supports up to two processors, up to 1 TB of memory capacity, up to 16x 2.5-inch or 14x 3.5-inch drive bays with an extensive choice of drive technologies including NVMe SSDs, and flexible I/O expansion options with a LOM slot and up to 6x PCIe slots. The next-generation Lenovo XClarity Controller, which is built into the SR590 server, provides advanced service processor control, monitoring, and alerting functions.
The following figure shows the ThinkSystem SR590 server with 3.5-inch front hot-swap drives. Other drive configurations are also available.

Lenovo XClarity Controller is the embedded management engine in all ThinkSystem servers that is designed to standardize, simplify, and automate foundation server management tasks. Lenovo XClarity Administrator is a virtualized application that centrally manages ThinkSystem servers, storage, and networking, which can reduce provisioning time up to 95 percent versus manual operation. Running XClarity Integrator helps you streamline IT management, speed provisioning, and contain costs by seamlessly integrating XClarity into an existing IT environment.
Traditional air-cooling methods are reaching critical limits. Increases in component power especially on CPUs and GPUs have resulted in higher energy and infrastructure costs, extremely loud systems and heightened carbon footprints.
To combat these challenges and dissipate heat quickly, some models of the SR675 V3 employ Lenovo Neptune™ liquid-to-air hybrid cooling technology.
The heat of the NVIDIA HGX™ H200 GPUs is removed through a unique closed loop liquid-to-air heat exchanger that delivers the benefits of liquid cooling such as lower power consumption, quiet operation and higher performance without adding plumbing.
