The SR570 server is designed to handle a wide range of workloads, such as virtualization and cloud computing, infrastructure security, web serving, and application development.
Intel® Optane™ DC Persistent Memory delivers a new, flexible tier of memory designed specifically for data center workloads that offers an unprecedented combination of high-capacity, affordability, and persistence. This technology will have a significant impact on real-world data center operations: reduction of restart times from minutes down to seconds, 1.2x virtual machine density, dramatically improved data replication with 14x lower latency and 14x higher IOPS, and greater security for persistent data built into hardware.* * Based on Intel internal testing, August 2018.
Lenovo AnyBay design features a choice of drive interface type in the same drive bay: SAS drives, SATA drives, or U.2 NVMe PCIe drives. Freedom to configure some of the bays with PCIe SSDs and still use the remaining bays for capacity SAS drives provides the ability to upgrade to more PCIe SSDs in the future as needed.
Lenovo XClarity Controller is the embedded management engine in all ThinkSystem servers that is designed to standardize, simplify, and automate foundation server management tasks. Featuring the second generation of the Intel Xeon Processor Scalable Family (Xeon SP Gen 2), the SR570 server offers balanced performance and storage capacity. The SR570 server supports up to two processors, up to 2933 MHz memory speed, up to 1 TB of memory capacity with TruDDR4 RDIMMs or up to 2.75 TB of memory capacity with a combination of TruDDR4 RDIMMs and Intel DC persistent memory modules (DCPMMs), up to 10x 2.5-inch or 4x 3.5-inch drive bays with an extensive choice of NVMe PCIe SSDs, SAS/SATA SSDs, and SAS/SATA HDDs, and flexible I/O expansion options with a LOM slot and up to 3x PCIe slots.
The SR570 server offers basic software RAID or advanced hardware RAID protection and a wide range of networking options, including selectable LOM, ML2, and PCIe network adapters. The next-generation Lenovo XClarity Controller, which is built into the SR570 server, provides advanced service processor control, monitoring, and alerting functions.
